Journal of Chromatography A — Special Issue for the 32nd International Symposium on Electro- and Liquid-Phase Separation Techniques, Guangzhou, China

The 32nd International Symposium on Electro- and Liquid-Phase Separation Techniques (ITP2026) will be held in Guangzhou, China, from 8 to 11 November 2026. As the premier forum in the field of separation science, the ITP symposium series has a long-standing tradition of bringing together leading researchers, young scientists, and industry professionals to exchange the latest developments and advances in electro-driven and liquid-phase separation techniques.

In celebration of ITP2026, Journal of Chromatography A is pleased to announce a special issue dedicated to the symposium. This special issue aims to showcase the most innovative and high-impact research presented at the conference, as well as cutting-edge contributions from the global separation science community that align with the symposium's core themes. All manuscripts will be subjected to the journal’s standard rigorous peer‑review process, with the aim of being published in the Journal of Chromatography A, and are planned to appear in a dedicated virtual special issue (VSI: ITP‑2026).

The scope of this special issue encompasses, but is not limited to, the following topics:

  • Advanced separation materials and stationary phase design

  • Innovations in liquid chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC, nano-LC)

  • Capillary electrophoresis and other electromigration techniques

  • Microfluidics and nanofluidics in separation science

  • Multidimensional separation systems and hyphenated techniques (LC-MS, CE-MS, etc.)

  • Preparative and industrial-scale separations

  • Emerging sample preparation technologies

  • Separation techniques in pharmaceutical, biomedical, clinical, food, forensic, and environmental analysis

  • Artificial intelligence and data-driven approaches in separation method development

Guest Editor:

Professor Zhengjin Jiang (Jinan University, Guangzhou, China)

Professor Marianne Fillet (University of Liège, Liège, Belgium)

Professor Serge Rudaz (University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland)

Professor Jialiang Guo (Foshan University, Foshan, China)
