Title: Predicting In-Vivo Nanomedicine Behavior Using Capillary-Based Methods: A Case Study with Nanoparticles for T2D Therapy

Myriam Taverna was appointed Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology in 2005 and became a Senior Member of the Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) in 2017. She currently serves as Director of the Institut Galien Paris-Saclay (IGPS), a CNRS-affiliated research unit comprising six teams. She leads one team dedicated to the development of advanced analytical methods, with a strong focus on miniaturized techniques—such as microsystems, biosensors, and capillary electrophoresis—for the analysis of peptides and (glyco)proteins, whether as biopharmaceuticals, drug targets, or disease biomarkers. Internationally recognized for her expertise in capillary electrophoresis, particularly for separation and preconcentration applications, she has authored more than 190 peer-reviewed scientific publications and contributed a dozen chapters to international reference books. She also serves on the editorial board of Analytica Chimica Acta. Her research on Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers led to the co-founding of the start-up Alzohis in 2014. Her current work explores extracellular vesicles for diagnostic and therapeutic applications, as well as the development of innovative analytical strategies for nanomedicine characterization.
