Title: Software tools for understanding electromigration

Bohuslav Gaš is a Professor of Physical Chemistry at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. His earlier research was focused on the theory of electronic spectra and electrochemistry, his current work centers on the theory of electromigration separation processes. He pioneered the contactless conductivity detector for isotachophoresis. Professor Gaš is the author or co-author of 140 papers published in peer‑reviewed journals (more than 4,300 citations, h‑index of 38). He serves as Deputy Editor of Electrophoresis (Wiley‑VCH) and as Editor of its Special Issues on Fundamentals. He is also a permanent member of the Scientific Committees of the ITP series of International Symposia. His contributions have been recognized with the Arnold O. Beckman Medal for exceptional lifelong contributions to the theoretical understanding and development of new electrodriven separation techniques. In addition, he has been honored with silver, gold, and commemorative medals from Charles University for merit, as well as the Student Prize for Best Lecturer.
