Title: Development of Methods for Isolation and Identification of Therapeutic Oligonucleotides in Biological Samples
Sylwia Studzińska is an associate professor at the Faculty of Chemistry Nicolaus Copernicus University in Poland. She has co-authored more than 90 scientific papers, as well as several book chapters and patents. She spent research internships at the Laboratory of Bio-Inorganic Analytical and Environmental Chemistry in Pau (French Research Centre), Zagreb University (Croatia), University of Tübingen (Germany), Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic), University of Turin (Italy). She was awarded by the Foundation for Polish Science, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Polish Academy of Sciences. Her main research interests are separation techniques, especially liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry. She uses various modes of liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry to analyze nucleic acid-based therapeutics extracted from biological samples. For years, she has been conducting advanced research on developing methods for sample preparation, separation, and determination of therapeutic oligonucleotides - active ingredients of drugs for the treatment of genetic diseases.
