Title: Selective Surface-Based Techniques in Food and Drug Analysis 

Rafik Kalfat is a Professor of Chemistry at the National Institute of Research and Physico-chemical Analysis (INRAP, Tunisia). He obtained his Master Chemistry degree from Univ. of Tunis in 1982, followed by his Doctoral Thesis in Materials Chemistry in 1995, which he pursued in France. From 1988 to 2005, he served as a Lecturer and later as a Professor at the University of Carthage in Tunisia, where he also held the position of Chemistry Department Director. Since 2005, he has been a Professor at the Research Center of Physico-chemical Analysis INRAP, BiotechPark in Tunisia. He has published over 70 articles in indexed journals, in addition to book chapters. H-index 22(Scopus). He is Vice President of the Tunisian Association for Scientific Information representing the scientific community and information dissemination in Tunisia. He is Executive Editor-in-Chief of the journal Chem. Afr. (published by Springer). His current research interests encompass sensors, biosensors, and surface chemistry for analytical applications.
