Title: MOF-Based Molecularly Imprinted Electrochemical Antimicrobial Sensor Platforms
Prof. Ayşegül Gölcü went to the United States in 2010 to conduct postdoctoral research on "electrochemical sensors" in the laboratory of Prof. Petr Zuman, a doctoral student of Nobel laureate Jaroslav Heyrovski, at Clarkson University. Since 2018, she has been collaborating with Prof. Omowunmi Sadik on various projects on "mechanisms of binding of natural compounds to double-stranded DNA". Prof. Gölcü has published over 150 national and international articles on spectrophotometric and voltammetric drug analysis, drug-metal complexes, biosensors, and natural compounds. She has also served as a principal investigator, researcher, and consultant on 58 scientific research projects funded by various institutions, including the State Planning Organization, COST, TÜBİTAK, and BAP. She has supervised twenty-seven completed master's/doctoral theses and participated in numerous national and international conferences and contributed nearly five hundred scientific papers. She has received many academic awards for her scientific work at both Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University and Istanbul Technical University. Her Scopus h-index is 23, Google Scholar index is 27, and Google Scholar i10 index is 66. She is a member of the board of directors of the Turkish Chemical Society and is involved in the COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) actions “D39 - Metallo-Drug Design and Action” and “CM1105 - Functional metal complexes that bind to biomolecules”.
